The goal from the outset with Return of the King, says Kim, was to turn it into a perennial business. The “X” for Two Towers was “play the movie,” but Return of the King was “live the movie.” The development was brought in-house. Fan feedback was incorporated. The game was done in 16 languages for X-Box, Playstation2, GameBoy Advance, Nintendo GameCube, and the PC.
